We're excited to announce that Unifii is now a supplier under the G-Cloud 13 framework!
G-Cloud is a platform through which public sector organisations can buy cloud services directly from a supplier. It first opened in 2012 and has now reached its thirteenth iteration. After many years of being able to sell services via the G-Cloud computing initiative, we now sell services from the new G-Cloud 13 framework.
The framework allows public sector organisations to reduce the time and risk involved in buying cloud products or services from the private sector. It involves public sector buyers being presented with a shortlist of pre-approved suppliers, allowing them to easily find the right supplier for them. This process reduces the length of the buyer's procurement process by allowing them to directly award a service, or choose to complete a mini competition to finally select their chosen supplier for their service requirements. Unifii offer a variety of services via G-Cloud 13, predominantly ServiceNow implementations and platform management.
Customers should bear in mind that the way they will access and use the digital tool for G-Cloud 13 is changing. In summer 2022 the Crown Commercial Services launched a new digital service called the Public Procurement Gateway (PPG). G-Cloud 13 will go live on PPG’s contract and award service in November 2022.
Key benefits of the G-Cloud framework
For buyers:
It's an easy way to find out about smaller suppliers who could best meet their requirements.
G-Cloud has sped up the procurement process - this has in turn reduced the cost.
It has provided a basis for IT procurement; for example, in contractual terms and conditions by increasing transparency.
For suppliers:
G-Cloud is open to suppliers of all sizes – previously, smaller sizes may have found it difficult to invest time and resources in a long framework application process.
The simplified application process creates a fairer and more competitive marketplace.
G-Cloud allows buyers to direct award a contract.
What will G-Cloud 13 provide?
G-Cloud 13 will replace G-Cloud 12 and continue to provide cloud hosting and software services. The following changes have been introduced:
Improved terms and conditions with greater inclusion for the provision of day rate cloud support services.
Introduction of the latest procurement policies.
Introduction of a fourth Lot for further competition for Cloud Support Services for larger, more complex requirements.
Key benefits of G-Cloud 13
The new framework builds on the benefits of the previous framework. Key points include:
Access to multiple suppliers and cloud services, including a high number of SMEs.
Quick and easy route to market.
Access to the latest cloud technology and innovation.
Improved pricing via further competition for Cloud Support Services in Lot 4.
