Our FoCus meet-up in Edinburgh has been concluded 2 weeks ago and we were very lucky to have been joined by clients and ServiceNow experts from the city, sharing the latest insights and knowledge on CSDM implementation. It was fantastic catching up with everyone face-to-face and having the opportunity to bring the Scottish ServiceNow community closer together.
Exploring CSDM ServiceNow Implementation
We were incredibly grateful to have Michael, David and Guy, who generously shared their experiences with CSDM and the transformation journey of clients. We’ve put together a few key points that you might find useful when planning for your own platform.
Our Speakers
Our Managing Consultant, Guy Outram, started by introducing Unifii and our distinctive approach to implementing ServiceNow. Drawing from our first-hand experience as clients ourselves, we understand precisely what our customers need and how we can best support them in achieving their goals. Guy also gave a glimpse of the brand new Business Change and Transformation service by our sister brand, Advolution, which aims at driving optimisation in your business through fundamental organisational changes. Stay tuned to our news section for more details.
Michael, with his extensive experience as a Service Architect at Hitachi Energy, then took us through the company’s CSDM implementation journey. He outlined the process into 3 main parts: Plan, Safeguard and Foundation. Michael uncovered some of the most common challenges they had found in each phase e.g., data literacy and limited ownership, and guided us on how the team has managed to overcome all of those obstacles.
Following Guy and Michael’s presentations, David Fisher, one of our esteemed consultants, took the stage to demonstrate the step-by-step process of an Instance Scan conducted by team Unifii. With real-life data from cases that we’ve worked on, he emphasized the importance of assessing the level of platform maturity before implementing CSDM to maximise the benefits and suggested various scan options for organisations with different business needs.
