We were incredibly lucky to host three events this October, all of which FoCused (sorry) on bringing together the ServiceNow community. They acted as exceptional opportunities to discuss the latest developments and news within the ServiceNow space, and how partners like Unifii bring value to SN customers.
The events took place in Edinburgh, London and Manchester respectively. Whether new to ServiceNow or an existing customer, these were opportunities for anyone and everyone to learn more about the platform.
Each one started off with a deep dive into the newest ServiceNow release, Tokyo. A significant addition to Tokyo is the brand new Admin Center, which provides a central hub for admins to discover, install, and configure all the ServiceNow products and applications. It provides a consistent experience for product adoption, and encourages customers to adopt new capabilities with Adoption Blueprints. We also looked at other new features, including the Service Operations Workspace, Manager Hub, Automation Center and Process Optimisation enhancements.

Highlights of Edinburgh - 15 Queen Street
The main focus of the first event was led by Unifii Principal Consultant Ellis Richmond, who took the guests through a piece on SecOps (Security Operations). We looked in detail at what exactly SecOps is, why it’s important and the vast capabilities that ServiceNow’s SecOps product offers: Incident Response, Response Tasks, Incident/Problem/Change/Outage and Vulnerability Response.
The collaboration between IT and Security teams is imperative to preventing and responding to threats. To learn more about why you should choose ServiceNow for a strong SecOps framework, read our blog here.
Highlights of London - Vintry & Mercer
The London event also took the guests through all things new in the Tokyo release. Martin McBride at ServiceNow showcased a Service Operations demo, while Unifii’s Sales Director Myles Molloy talked about the partnership Unifii shares with our respective customers.
The second part of the event was hosted by Joe Ciocci at our client Buckinghamshire Council; he focused on the company’s journey with custom apps. The apps were named as follows:
Helping Hand
This app was co-produced with Unifii, created at the start of Covid to help vulnerable residents, from assisting with financial advice to dog walking. There were more than 50,000 people within the tool.
Cautionary Contacts
This app was internally as a centralised database for support workers. It is visible across the authority/approved personnel.
Ukraine Refugee and Sponsor Management
This app was integrated with central government data for all sponsors and refugees. It involved separated environments for case management and case updates, with 4,000 individuals (both sponsor and beneficiary) being managed within the system. The end solution within the app included data uploads from government data sources, multiple dashboards and reports, a back end system with linked users (six custom tables) and a custom portal with six record producers.
Highlights of Manchester - YOTEL Deansgate
The third and final event talk focused on EMIS Health’s journey with Unifii. This was lead by Aaron Riley, the EMIS Health's ServiceNow Platform Lead. Unifii have worked with the customer on an SPM (formerly ITBM) implementation, providing them with a centralised tool to enable efficient planning of projects and programmes.
Since the implementation in 2020, Unifii and EMIS Health have worked together on licence reconciliation, licence rationalisation and licence renewal. To learn more about our work and partnership with this customer, read our case study.
We also discussed our tips for continually optimising processes, boosting agent efficiency and accelerating issue resolution. Finally, tips for how to plan a solid ServiceNow roadmap gave some great food for thought to round off the night.
Across all three events, the topics discussed opened the way for some highly insightful conversations. Huge thanks to everyone who attended - we’re excited to host our next FoCus events and further bring together the ServiceNow community.
